You can grow fabric from bacteria?
As a part of my textiles technology degree at RMIT, I completed a research and experimental project called "The Effectiveness and Feasibility of Microbial Cellulose". The project followed the growth of fabric from the same bacteria found in kombucha tea. I then tested it's performance characteristics, dyed the fabric, and analysed it feasibility in the marketplace. You can watch me grow it and read the full project report below!
